Martha Ann Helms

Martha Ann left this earthly home and was welcomed into her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Martha Ann was born June 22, 1932 to the late Robert Hoyle "Sam" and Rosa Mae Gordon.

Survivors include her loving husband, Paul Neal Helms; son, Richard "Rick" Helms (Donna); daughter, Linda Tomberlin (Lanny); and son, Gary Helms (Ann), all of Monroe; six grandchildren, Emily Mills (Tyler), Lauren Helms, Jennifer Baucom (Kyle), Ann Marie Ball (Travis), Elizabeth Helms and Ryan Helms; two great-grandchildren, Preston and Trevor Mills.

We will never be the same after this enormous loss, but we are so much richer for the times we shared and the wonderful memories she gave us for so many years. The family would like to thank her doctors, nurses, family and friends for the kindness they've shown during this time. Visitation will be Thursday evening, February 25, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate the life of Martha Ann will be 11:00am on Friday, February 26, 2016 at McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel with Reverend Shad Hicks and Ralph Holt officiating, interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
