Marie Medlin Baucom

Mrs. Marie Medlin Baucom, 71, passed away on Monday morning, December 5th, 2011 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born September 17, 1940 in Union County, daughter of the late Hoyle A. and Ioma Tucker Medlin, she was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 52 years, Joe Darrell Baucom who died February 4, 2010 and a brother Bobby R. Baucom. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday evening at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Services to celebrate the life of Marie will be Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Hope Second Advent Christian Church, at 12:00 Noon with her Pastor Brent Carpenter and Preacher Dac Croasmun officiating, entombment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Mausoleum. Mrs. Baucom was a part time assistant administrator at Lakeland Memorial Park. Survivors include one Son: Eric Baucom, three Daughters: Sandy Mills and husband Mike, Sonya Greene and husband Jeff, Stephanie Williams and husband Shane all of Monroe N.C., 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one sister: Angela Hinson of Monroe N.C.
