Mrs. Margaret Vickery Pressley

She was born March 14, 1924 in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of the late Mr. James Guy Vickery and the late Mrs. Beuford Spray Vickery. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: Agee Duerant Pressley on December 16, 1986; three sisters: Annie Lee Ross, Eva Bennett Gill, and Clyde V. Simpson; three brothers: James Guy Vickery, Jr., Vann Vickery, and Homer L. Vickery.

Mrs. Pressley is survived by one son: Vann Duerant Pressley of Bastrop, Texas; two grandchildren: Allison McFarland and Daniel Pressley, both of Amarillo, Texas; one great grandson: Jack McFarland of Amarillo, Texas.

The family of Mrs. Pressley will receive friends and relatives for visitation Wednesday May 23, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 23, 2012 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, conducted by Pastor Douglas Rumley, with interment to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff at Carillon Assisted Living and Southern Piedmont Primary Care for their special care and kindness shown to Margeret during her illness.
