Born June 11, 1963 in Chesterfield, South Carolina she ultimately made her way to Monroe, North Carolina and became a lifelong resident of Union County. Margaret was a homemaker who loved and enjoyed her family very much. She not only enjoyed spending time with them but also treasured being a caregiver to them as well. Along with spending time with her family, she also enjoyed spending time and being outdoors.
Margaret is preceded in death by her mother, Leona Fink and father, David Joplin, Sr.; son, Matthew Simmons; brothers, Richard Joplin Sr., David Joplin Jr., and Randy Joplin; and sister, Joyce Joplin. She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Brown; children, Tonya Griffin (Justin), Christy Wheeler (Steven), Kayla Brown, Adam Brown, and Ramey Brown (Carlie); Grandchildren, Brittany and Hannah Griffin, Dadrian, Jeremiah, William, Madison, McKenzie and Rachel Wheeler, Adam Brown Jr., and Bailey and Raylen Brown; great-grandsons, Braxton Griffin and Parker Hays; sisters, Kathy Atkinson and Doris Nolan; brothers, Charles Joplin and George Oliver; niece, Stephanie McDonald (Derek); and nephews, Terry Campbell and Matthew Atkinson.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2023 at 4:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street in Monroe, North Carolina with Pastor Jeff Whitecotton presiding.
