Louise Helms

Both born and raised in Monroe, they met at church at a young age and had Christ as the foundation of their 63 year marriage. Buddy and Louise were life long standing members at Secrest Grove Baptist Church. They served the Lord with their singing as part of the Secrest Grove Quartet, traveling to numerous churches in the area. Buddy was the choir director for many years and Louise was a part of the choir.

They are predeceased by their son, Mike “Mikey” Helms and Buddy’s sister, Sarah Frances Helms. Buddy and Louise are survived by their grandson, Michael Allan Helms, Louise’s brother, Barry (LeAnn) Kee and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday December 19, 2021 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A graveside service will be at Secrest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, December 20 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Secrest Grove Baptist Church “Senior Saints Fund”, 4505 Weddington Rd., Monroe, NC 28110.
