Larry Neal Melton, age 75, of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2021.
He was born in Union County on March 29, 1946, son of the late Hurley G. Melton and Ruby Smith Melton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Ray Melton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ann Melton; his son, Chris Melton (Crystal); his daughter, Karen Widenhouse (Mick) and by his grandchildren, Mallory Melton and Liza Melton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm Saturday, January 1, 2022 at New Salem Baptist Church, 2915 Goldmine Rd., Monroe, NC. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Melton will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, January 2, 2022 in the church sanctuary with interment following in the church cemetery. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the Melton family.
