June Threadgill Love, 77, of Monroe went to her Heavenly Home on October 25, 2018. She was born in Union County on July 30, 1941 to the late James Franklin and Almetta Knight Threadgill. June graduated from Indian Trail High School and was the church secretary at Sutton Park Baptist Church for over thirty years. She was a faithful member of the church until its doors were closed. June is predeceased by her son, Leonard Love; brother, Olin Threadgill and sisters, Louise Whitley, Ruth Privette, Ruby Clayton and Ann Pressley. She is survived by her loving husband of 59-1/2 years, Earl Love; son, Joel Love of Matthews; granddaughter, Amber Lane Love of Charlotte; grandson, Jordan Keith Love of Matthews; sister, Peggy Kiker of Stallings and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 29 from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe followed by service at 2:00 pm to celebrate June’s. Burial will be at Lakeland Memorial Park.
