Julia Moore

Judy was born at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC and grew up in her beloved Stanly County, NC in the city of Albemarle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Ell Wilson, Jr. and one sister Emilie Wilson.

Left to love and miss Judy and cherish our memories are her loving, steadfast husband of 57 years, Joseph S. "Joe" Moore; son J. Scott "Jay" Moore (Renee); daughter Julie Huneycutt (Eric); two grandsons, Christian Moore (Alexandra), and Tyler Moore; great-grandson, Easton Moore; sister, Ellen Talbert; brother, Ernie Wilson; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, close friends, neighbors, and classmates.

Judy was a member of Secrest Grove Baptist Church in Monroe, NC and a former member of Central United Methodist Churches in Monroe, NC and Albemarle, NC.

A visitation for Judy will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, 204 South Main Street, Monroe, NC 28112. A graveside committal service will occur at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Aquadale Baptist Church, 32871 Church Street, Norwood, NC 28128. The Rev. Jeff Whitecotton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Union County or Secrest Grove Baptist Church.
