She was born in Union County on December 20, 1945, daughter of the late Thomas Walter and Mildred Elmore Griffin.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald McCoy and her granddaughter, Emily Gurley.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Fincher, Donna Thomas (Tim) and Dawn Gurley (Randy); seven grandchildren, David Laney III, Cameron Wright, Mical Thomas, Kailey Thomas, Eric Gurley, Heather Stegall and Brittany Treadaway; eleven great-grandchildren and her sister, Linda Helms.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
