She was always remembered as “never meeting a stranger” and was loved by many that knew her. She especially loved her family and treasured every moment that she spent with them.
Joyce was preceded in death by the love of her life, Frank Aycock; her parents, Artis and Ona Mae Adams; her sister, Ruth Adams Gordon; and step-sister, Elaine Grant Ledford. She is survived by her son, Frankie Aycock (Michelle); grandchildren, Ravene Aycock Wilmoth (Aaron), Brandon Plyler (Molly), Kendall Plyler, Kolin Plyler, and Triston Plyler; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Evans (Eric); step-brothers, James Grant and David Grant; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Waxhaw Baptist Church, located at 8213 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Road in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Funeral services will then be held at Waxhaw Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with committal immediately following at the church cemetery.
