James Carl Simpson Jr.

He was born December 9, 1930 in Union County, NC, the son of the late Mr. James Carl Simpson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lillian Carter Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Henry Simpson; one sister: Helen Simpson. Mr. Simpson honorably served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired machinist.

Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife: Bessie Kimbrell Simpson; two sons: Wayne Simpson of Charlotte, NC and Brian Simpson and wife Charissa of Oklahoma City, OK; one daughter: Rheba Pressley and husband Roger of Monroe, NC; one sister: Marjorie Milligan of Alabama; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday July 29, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with Funeral services to celebrate his life beginning at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Timothy Rogers, with burial to follow with military honors in Lakeland Memorial Park.
