He was born in Union County on October 5, 1933, son of the late Arthur Paul and Lessie Gamble Lemmond. Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Couick Lemmond. He is survived by his daughter, Karen and husband Miles Tedder; son, Rick and wife Sallie Lemmond; daughter, Rhonda Jordan; daughter, Teri and husband John Snoke; eleven grandchildren, Monica Privette, Dave Snoke, Jeremy Lemmond, Justin Tedder, Dan Snoke, Ashley Denny, Jeffery Hamrick, Neal Lemmond, Tyler Smith, Marshall Lemmond, Krystal Belk; his precious great-grandchildren; Shawn, Kade, Taylor, Carson, Caylee, Alli, Caleb, Krew, Cora, Greyden, Peyton, Kolbi, and Luke.
A service to celebrate Mr. Lemmond's life will be held 3 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. The family will receive friends following the service.
