He was born on October 26, 1938 in Union County, the son of the late Excell and Mary W. Hinson. Survivors are his wife, Christine Hinson; sons, Skip (Beth) and Rick (Janice); grandchildren, Whitney, Mallory (David) and Jacob; sisters, Nancy Thomas and Linda Rodgers (Phil); three nephews and one niece.
A visitation for Jack will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, 204 South Main Street, Monroe, NC 28112. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:30 AM at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Oakland Baptist Church, 600 E Sunset Dr, Monroe, NC 28112 or Providence Baptist Church, 232 Providence Church Rd, Pageland, SC 29728.
