Horace J. Broome, age 74, of Monroe, passed away on July 30, 2017. He was born in Union County on November 30, 1942, son of the late Henry and Mary Broome. He was preceded in death by his sister, Freida Ennis; his brother-in-law, Rodger Long and his nephew, Darren Broome. Horace is survived by his sister, Arlene Helms and husband, Olin; his brother, Frank Broome and wife, Vera and sister, Linda Long.
A graveside service will be held 4:00pm Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Lakeland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Memorial United Methodist Church, 1200 Miller St, Monroe, NC 28110.
