He was born on July 5th, 1955, to Henry and Marilyn Paul.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Natalie; children Steve (Lisa) and Megan (Steve);
grandchildren Kenzie and Hudson; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
As a loving husband, a dedicated father, a proud papa, and a trustworthy friend, Hank loved surrounding
himself with family and friends. Whether a Sunday family get together, a Saturday night gig, or a
weekday spent talking with colleagues and customers, Hank brought joy and laughter to anyone he
interacted with. He always put others’ needs in front of his own and never asked for anything in return.
He was dedicated to his work, his craft of music and was proud of everything he had accomplished in life
for him and his family. Hank loved traveling with his family, celebrating Christmas, watching sports, and
drinking a cold Corona after a long day’s work in the yard.
Hank was a true salesman with a passion for people. He would talk to everyone and anyone that would
listen. He spent most of his professional life working at two places he called home, A.W. Andre and
Warehouse Direct. He loved what he did for a living and the people he got to do it with. The friends he
made along the way deeply impacted his life and he loved them like family. Along with dedicating his life
to the sales industry, he founded Park Avenue Orchestra as the lead guitarist where he poured his heart
and soul into creating music that brightened the lives of so many. His passion for music played an
enormous part in his daily life. Whether identifying a guitar lick from a random song on the radio or
boasting about the way the band sounded at last night’s gig, music always brought a smile to his face.
Hank was a truly great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family who loves him dearly. He was
a selfless man whose passing leaves an unfillable gap in the hearts of all that had the honor to know him.
His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all those he knew.
To honor Hank’s memory, we are holding a celebration of life on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at 10:30
a.m. at The Club at Brookhaven located at 3001 Stanbury Drive, Matthews, North Carolina 28104. We
invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember his wonderful life. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the American Heart Association at https://www.heart.org.
