Gladys Stephens Culley

Gladys Stephens Culley, 95, of Monroe, North Carolina passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. She was born in Union County on March 19, 1927 to the late Henry Banks Stephens and Mary Minor Kimball.

Gladys love to work in her flower garden and enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her parents, Gladys is predeceased by her daughter, Linda Deese and her 14 siblings.

She is survived by her son, Mike Deese and his wife, Loretta; granddaughter, Michelle Starnes and her husband, Ed; great-granddaughters, Christina and Amanda Starnes; step-sons, Colon Culley and his wife Diane and Dale Culley and his family as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bonds Grove Church, 8215 Bonds Grove Church Road, Waxhaw. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to that donations be sent to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
