Eddie D Matthews

Eddie D. Matthews of Monroe passed away on July 14, 2020 after a courageous battle with bone cancer. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 16, 1934 to the late Eddie Crawford and Blanche Peebles Matthews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Matthews is predeceased by a son, Robert Cliff Matthews.

Mr. Matthews is survived by Kimberly Matthews (Daughter), Debra Matthews (Granddaughter), Bentley Welch (Great Grandson) and Eddie Matthews, Jr. (Son) & Wife, Mary-Beth and Samantha Ketchie (Granddaughter).

There will be a graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212) at 11:00am on Saturday, July 25, 2020.
