Doris Carnes Beaver

Doris Carnes Beaver, age 76, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at her home. She was born on December 25, 1938 to the late Coleman and Pearl Carnes. She was married to Billy G. Beaver for 62 years. Doris was a seamstress for Comar Industries where she retired after many years. She was a long time member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed going on beach trips, watching her grandsons play basketball, and loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ray Carnes. Doris is survived by her husband, Billy G. Beaver; her sons, Johnny Beaver (Susan) and Bobby Beaver (Denise); three grandchildren, Aaron Beaver (Kristen), Grant Beaver (Tara) and Galen Beaver fiancé (Kerry); two great-grandchildren, Noah Beaver and Ansley Beaver; two brothers, James Carnes and Jerry Carnes.

The family will receive friends at the home. The funeral service for Mrs. Beaver will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe with Reverend Phil McLain officiating. Burial follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Mountain Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following burial.
