He is preceded in death by one son and two grandchildren. Don worked in life as an Instrumentation and Control Technician for Warren Steele and Associates. He loved his job and took pride in his work. He made many friends, special thanks to James Perry and Brooks Johnson.
Don loved making friends, looked for the good in his fellow man, always there with a helping hand. He found joy and happiness in making walking sticks and canes. This was one of his ways to share his Christ-like love for his fellow man.
May we always remember him for his bright blue kind eyes, his warm heart, and his love for us all.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 700 E. Sunset Dr., Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Monroe City Cemetery.
