Darrell Lee Kinard

He was born on March 31, 1964, in Mecklenburg County to the late David Lawrence and Delores Claudette Kinard. Darrell had many hobbies and interests in his life including fishing with his buddies, playing golf and poker, and watching NASCAR. Darrell was also a car enthusiast and owned and operated his own auto repair shop for many years. He truly enjoyed living life and was always known around friends and family as the “life of the party”.

Along with his parents, Darrell is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Kinard. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Kinard; children, Austin David Kinard (Caroline), Ali Nicole Kinard, and Colby Lee Kinard; stepchildren, Kristen Cowie (Eric) and Brianna Smith (Ryan); grandchildren, Harper Cowie, Hayven Cowie, and Emma Smith; and brother, Ronald Eugene Kinard.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Steamers Sports Pub, located at 1513 Pierson Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina.
