She was born in Union County on April 23, 1947, the daughter of the late Henry and Roxie Tarlton. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Ruth Haigler, Jerry Keziah, Joyce Ashley and Annie Von Helms.
Brenda is survived by her son, Tim King; daughter, Melinda Dehart (Jeff); son, Kenneth King (Mary Beth) and daughter, Karen King (Chuck Griffin); her grandchildren, Renee Dehart, Summer Dehart, Jordan Dehart, Skylar King and Kendall King and by her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Evans and Lyla Evans.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:00pm Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. King will begin at 12:00pm in McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel.
