Mrs. Barbara Batson, 66, died Tuesday, May 25, 2011 at the Brian Center in Monroe. Mrs. Batson was born August 30, 1944 in Union County, daughter of the late Hazel and Ruth Helms McManus. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 4:00 until 7:00 at the home of Mrs. Batson, 1407 Helms Short Cut Rd., Monroe N.C. 28112, Memorial services will be at a later date. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, James Graham Batson, two sons: Michael Wayne Batson of Monroe and his fiancée Amanda Sterling, Roger L. Batson of York S.C., one sister: Cathy McManus of Monroe N.C. Memorials may be made to James Graham Batson, 1407 Helms Short Cut Rd., Monroe N.C. 28112.
