Vincent came to the United States in 1968. He fell in love with Sophia Wadolowski and married her on September 15th, 1973. It would have been 48 years of marriage. Prior to his retirement, he worked for US Baird Corporation in Stratford CT as a welder & as a building contractor. His greatest moments were outside of work. He was a member of Saint Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, where he volunteered. He loved being with his family and especially his grandchildren, watching them play sports, singing in choir & playing in the orchestra, Face timing with them, telling stories and making them laugh. He loved cooking and feeding everyone.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his son Vincent Nemergut and wife Jillian Nemergut of Monroe, with their three children Jacob, Katelyn and Owen. His loving daughter Martha Smolka and Husband Juraj Smolka of Monroe, with there two children; Julia and Catherine. His son Andrew Nemergut and wife Sarah Nemergut of Easton CT, with their child Daniel and soon to be seventh grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 16th, 2021 at 10am in Saint Stephens Roman Catholic Church at 6948 Main Street Trumbull CT with Father Christopher J. Samele officiating. Vincent’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home at 315 Monroe Tpke Monroe, CT. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Vincent Nemergut’s name to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
