Devoted wife, mother and grandmother
Shirley Jean Thomas died July 12, 2014, at University of AZ Medical Center with her family at her side.
Shirley was born on October, 22, 1945 in Lincoln, NE to William and Jacqueline Soflin. In addition to being a superb wife, mother, and homemaker, Shirley was an entrepreneur, having started and managed two successful children's consignment businesses in New Jersey and Connecticut.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Rick Thomas of Monroe, CT and their two children, Brian Thomas and his wife Christine of Southbury, CT and Jennifer Deloge and her husband Chris of Monroe, CT.
Shirley adored her seven grandchildren: Nick, Courtney, Ashleigh, Katie, Logan, Blake, and Parker.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, July 25th at 12pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe CT. Friends may visit from 10am to the start of the service.
