Robert G. Victoria, 89, of Monroe, loving husband of the late Mary J. Victoria, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born on August 20, 1926 in Bridgeport to Joseph and Helen (Samatulski) Victoria. Dad met his true love, Mary Kechisen, in 1947 when she came to Bridgeport from Pennsylvania. They were married at St. Michael’s Church on April 21, 1951 and moved to Monroe in 1956. Dad’s greatest achievement was his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy in life was being with his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his brothers, hunting, and family gatherings at his parents’ house. He was a graduate of Bullard Havens High School and served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge. He was employed by Acme United until his retirement. He is survived by his devoted sons David and wife Eileen, Robert, and Brian and wife Stacey, loving grandchildren Kimberly and Andrew Victoria, MaryAnn, Christina, and Danielle Victoria, Brian Victoria, and great-grandchildren Brianna and Cameron Gulley. He is also survived by his brother, Henry Victoria, sister-in-law, Dorothy Victoria, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph (Juni) Victoria and Richard Victoria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 7th, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468. Interment with full military honors will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Road, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday, November 6th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Spaddacino and Leo P.
