Bob was born in Manhattan on February 12th, 1933, to Guy Joseph Menard and Lillian Livingston Menard. Following 3 years at the Fairfield College Preparatory School, he enrolled in the US Army, and served in Korea during the Korean War from 1953-1955, where he attained the rank of Corporal.
Bob was married to Carol Mary Falco on October 18, 1958 in Bridgeport, CT at St. Patrick's; they were married 54 years.
Bob worked as a final assembly installer for Sikorsky Aircraft for 44 years, from 1955 to 1999. He enjoyed reading and coin collecting.
Bob is survived by his wife Carol, 76, of Monroe, CT, and his children Linda Morgan, RN, 52, of Las Vegas, NV, Robert M Menard, MD, 50, of Los Altos, CA, Michael Menard, 43, of Arlington, VA, and Michelle Barbieri, 43, of Wilton, CT, his brother Bruce Menard, 75, of Chicago, IL, and by 9 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Bob instilled a strong work ethic in his children. He was honest and hard working, and enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren, and attending his Sikorsky retiree group. He will be deeply missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 22nd , at 10am at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull.
