Mary Baron

Mary Gillick Baron age 88 passed away on March 17, 2010 in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. Mary was the widow of George Baron. She lived in Monroe, CT for 40 years. Born on August 12, 1921 in Binghamton, NY, Mary was the daughter of the late Paul and Julia Gillick. She is survived by her two sons, George Baron, Jr. and his wife Lillian of Southbury, CT and Paul Baron and his wife Jeanette of Bristol, CT. Six Grandchildren: Mark Baron with Debbie Reed of Southbury, CT, Carl Baron and his wife Lisa of Mason, OH, Scott Baron of Fairfax, VA, Alison Baron of Seattle, WA, Adam Baron of Bristol, CT, and Samantha Baron of West Hartford, CT. She is also survived by Brother Paul Gillick of Scranton, PA and Sisters Ann Pehanick of Moscow, PA, Terri Dyer of Monroe, CT, Dorothy Husvar of Huntington, CT, Joanne Sibio of Moscow, PA and Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Margaret Labosky, Irene Senchak, and William Gillick.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, March 20th at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 100 St. John’s Drive, Trumbull, CT by Rev Frank Hanincik. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe, CT.

Friends may call on Friday March 19th from 4 to 7 pm at Spadaccino and Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Panachida Service will be at 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church.
