Marianna Barillari Fahey, age 89, of Trumbull, CT, widow of Edward Fahey entered into rest on April 27, 2012 at home with her loving daughter and Family. She had a long battle of pancreatic cancer. Daughter of Biago and Elizabeth Barillari, born in Italy, Marianna was very active in the parish of St. Catherine of Siena, Trumbull. She was a Eucharist Minister, she also visited the sick at St. Vincent’s Hospital & Bridgeport Hospital. She belonged to the Ladies Guild, Friendship Club, Rosary Makers and crochet & knitting groups.
She worked at Columbia Records retired from there, worked at Jenkins Valves, Dunkin Donuts, Monroe, also worked for the Trumbull School (Daniel Farms) as a Kitchen Aide, also worked at the polls at Booth Hill School and also noted for her home made cookies.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Gloria Bender of Trumbull, granddaugter Elizabeth Condon, husband Dan, great grandchildren Nicholas, Natalia of CA. Brother Dominick Barillari, Sandy Hook, nephew Richard, wife Patricia, Sandyhook, great nephew Richard Barillari, great niece Jennifer Barillari, Kelly , husband Patrick, Newtown, great nephew Ryan, wife Christina, Stratford, niece Janet Barillari D’Ostillo, husband Paul, Woodbridge, and a niece Cindy Field Barillari, Brookfield. Predeceased by Mr. and Mrs. Biago Barillari (her parents), Lorrice Barillari (sister-in-law), Dominick Barillari (nephew) and Bruno (brother) and his wife Jean Barillari.
Friends and family may greet Marianna’s family on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 4-8 pm at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine-of Siena Church 220 Shelton Rd Trumbull, CT. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull, for the rose garden.
