Born on February 21, 1929 to Salvatore and Maria Scuderi Musumeci. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Louise was a proud member of New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, graduating class of 1946. She married her sweetheart Danti Di Grazia when his tour with the WWII US Navy ended. They celebrated 47 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1997. Following marriage, Louise and Danti started their family in Brooklyn, NY and later settled in Fairfield, CT. Although motherhood was always her first priority, Louise was hired by Sodexo at Fairfield University when all of her children were in school. She later worked for GE at the corporate headquarters in Fairfield and Masuk High School Monroe, CT. Her love of cooking and singing help us to remember her lively spirit. Louise was a faithful member of St. Pius X of Fairfield, CT for over 30 years and upon her move to Monroe, CT was an active member of St. Jude Parish, Monroe. She was a dedicated member of the St. Jude choir for 15 years.
She was a loving daughter, devoted wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Louise will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Louise was predeceased by her husband Danti William Di Grazia and her first son Santo Di Grazia who served in the Vietnam War. She is survived by her children: Salvatore Di Grazia and his wife Virginia, Maria Di Grazia Morabito and her husband Salvatore, Michael Di Grazia and his wife Lucy; her grandchildren: Jennifer Di Grazia Cody and her husband Michael, Thomas Di Grazia, Danielle Morabito, Matthew Morabito, Tyler Di Grazia Guarino and her husband Rob, Julia Di Grazia, Hunter Di Grazia, Aidyn Di Grazia and Dylan Di Grazia; her great-grandchildren: Tristan Cody, MacKenzie Cody, and Tripp Barrett Guarino.
Services and Burial will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory may be made to St. Jude Parish, Monroe, CT or Carolton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fairfield, CT.
