Born in Melrose, MA, he was the son of Raymond & Dianne Curtis Simpson. He graduated from Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield, CT, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Radford University in VA. He was employed at several local companies in the Collections and Accounts Receivable space.
During his high school years, he was a Junior Deacon at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church. He spent his summers at Camp Pinehurst in Maine. In high school and college, he was a counselor there and his fondest memories were of taking the campers on canoe trips. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, attending concerts, splitting firewood, and sitting by the fire in the backyard. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, sarcasm, willingness to lend a helping hand, kind heart, and infectious smile.
He is survived by his beloved wife Vanessa (Prouty) Simpson, loving daughter Jacqueline Renee Simpson and loving son Nathan Hartley Simpson, his mother Dianne Curtis Simpson of Monroe, CT, sister Anne (Simpson) Doucette of Fairfield, CT, brother Ted Simpson and his wife Diantha of Centerport, NY, nephew Theo and niece Katina, mother-in-law Gloria Prouty and her wife Aixa Jimenez of Stratford, CT, sister-in-law Christina (Prouty) Puglisi and her husband Frank of Meriden, CT, and nephew Stephen. In addition, he is survived by several aunts and uncles, 14 first cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Raymond Simpson, his father-in-law Richard Prouty, and brother-in-law Marc Doucette.
Friends are invited to calling hours Friday, June 14th from 4pm to 8pm at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468. Funeral Service to be celebrated Saturday, June 15th at 10am at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church in the Memorial Hall, 1045 Old Academy Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. Interment to immediately follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. Reception to follow at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church in the Memorial Hall.
