Evana “Ev” D’Aiuto-DiNuzzo, age 52, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, May 25, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport on January 26,1965, she resided in Milford before moving to Shelton.
Evana loved spending time at the beach and watching movies with her nieces and nephews with whom she found her greatest joy. She loved solving puzzles, gardening, and cooking for her friends and family. Evana was loving, caring, energetic, witty and fun. She will be greatly missed by all.
Evana is survived by her siblings, Franca Kurzela and her husband Mark of Monroe; Vito D’Aiuto of Shelton; Anna D’Aiuto of Monroe; Rita Maggi and her husband Brian of Shelton; Sandra D’Aiuto of Milford; Michele Cifatte and her husband Gary of Trumbull; and Vincent D’Aiuto of Monroe; and by her in-laws, Elizabeth (mother-in-law) and her husband Carl Stella; Liz Jacksis and her husband Steve; Anthony DiNuzzo; Linda DiNuzzo; John DiNuzzo and his wife Pina. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews whom she cherished: Mark, Brandon, and Shana Kurzela; Ian, Daria, and Gabriella Maggi; Julianna, Michael, and Gina Cifatte; Melissa and Meghan Jacksis; Casey Dorry, Christine Jachimski; Sabrina and Savannah DiNuzzo. She was predeceased by her parents, Michele and Rosaria (Panzano) D’Aiuto, her beloved husband, James DiNuzzo; and her father-in-law, James DiNuzzo.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A Christian Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main Street in Trumbull. Interment will immediately follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Cadan, Dr. Falade, and the staff in the ICU and Hospice units at St. Vincent’s Hospital for the care and compassion given to Evana and our entire family during this most difficult time.
