Charles Galian

Charles Galian, 71, of Monroe, husband of Susan Ricard Galian, died Saturday September 20th at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on August 31, 1943, he was the son of the late John and Louise Chieppo Galian and had been a lifelong area resident. Charlie was a self-employed Land Surveyor, practicing in Monroe for twenty-eight years. He was a member of ACSM and CALS. He was an avid golfer for many years and was a member of several country clubs, Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown, Oronque Country Club in Stratford and most recently Pomperaug Country Club in Southbury. In addition to his wife of thirty-seven years, Charlie is survived by a sister; Patricia of Bridgeport, a brother; Michael and his wife Pam of Monroe and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by two sisters; Mary Lou Collimore and Sally Quaintance and a brother John Galian. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 24th at 7:30 PM in the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be Private.
