Carol Ann “Susie” Wright of Monroe, Connecticut passed away peacefully on March 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was known her bright smile, kind heart, loyal friendship and smart sense of humor.
A native of Sayreville, New Jersey, she attended St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic School and Sayreville War Memorial High School. She went on to study at Douglass College of Rutgers University, and received her MBA from Sacred Heart University.
Carol put her children first and never missed a soccer, basketball, baseball, softball or football game. She volunteered for their Girl Scout and Cub Scout troops as a leader, and football teams as Team Mom. She loved making ziti for the Masuk football team for eight years. She also served as President of the Monroe Jaycees, and received the highest award from the Connecticut Jaycees, Statesman. One of her favorite projects was helping with the Kid's Kreation playground at Wolfe Park. She made many cherished friendships through all of her volunteer work.
She was proud of her Polish heritage, and introduced countless friends to the joys of kielbasa and pierogi. She always envisioned her mother and father, the late Peter and Stella (Danysh) Dabrowski, cooking Polish feasts for her late relatives in Heaven, and we know she is there helping her mother.
Carol will be dearly missed. She leaves behind her loving husband, Joe; sons, Alex, of Monroe, CT and Jeff, of Bridgeport, CT; daughter, Becky Simulis, of Quincy, MA; brothers, Ed Dabrowski, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Pete Dabrowski, of Dunedin, FL; and nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Visiting hours will be held at Spadaccino Funeral Home in Monroe, CT on Friday, March 16 from 5:00-8:00 pm. A memorial mass will be held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Trumbull, CT on Saturday, March 17 at 10:00 am, followed by a reception.
On Saturday, March 24, a celebration of her life will take place at 12:00 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Sayreville, NJ.
