Anna C. Piazza, born August 12th, 1918 in Bridgeport, CT, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on July 5th, 2017 at the age of 98. She is survived by her son, Francis J. Piazza, and her grandson, Jeffrey Piazza, with whom she lived with. Also survived by the joys of her life, her granddaughter, Jennifer Penna, and her partner Kevin Filomena , her great grandchildren, Kayla Penna, her boyfriend, Christopher Torok, Kelsey and Andrew Piazza and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Piazza, and daughter, Francine Piazza. She was a devout church goer whose life was dedicated to her family. She had many loves- cooking and traveling to Cape Cod and Rhode Island to name a few. In her younger days she enjoyed going to New York to see the latest Broadway show with her son. She also enjoyed her television time watching “Murder She Wrote, Columbo and Blue Bloods”. She took great pride in her appearance and could never have enough jewelry. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and those who knew her. Arrangements have been made through Spadaccino and Leo P Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 10th at 11am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford with a burial following at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford.
