My thoughts and prayers go out to the Wood Family. To know Billy was to love him. What a thoughtful and loving person. He always put others first and loved unconditionally. I’m so thankful and blessed to have known him, and I will always cherish the memories we shared… Rest In Peace Billy, till I see you again, love you always ❤️🙏🏻

I worked with William at Epsilon for short time but in that I could tell he was a passionate person who loved his family and what he did. He was intelligent and expressive and will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family. 

When Gwen got married Billy fell through the attic the day before  her wedding.  That was quite a memory.  I miss fun days we had camping when he was little  and the Christmas he got the play store. I know he loved his Mama. He was an incredibly special son.  

I miss Billy  so much he was so welcoming 38 years ago when I drove down the old dirt Thompson Rd to join this large family he was so smart and talented.  I cherish that he called me Daddy. Forever in our hearts……….  Daddy.

Uncle Billy was the most generous and loving person I ever knew! He always looked out for others interests before his own and was so kind to everyone. He would always stop and talk about piano with me when I would practice on his baby grand piano! I will never forget him coming to dinner with me and my family for my graduation party.  He was such a kind spirit and he will be missed greatly. He was so loved by his family and his pup Levi! I will never forget sitting by him every Christmas and laughing and joking and cutting up the whole time! He was so so loved and I will miss him tremendously.

Uncle Bill,

From the time you let me swallow a penny to the time you, saw me graduate college, you were a complete joy and blessing to me. I am very saddened by your passing and it leaves an emptiness in our family that couldn’t possibly be filled. You had the sweetest heart and character of a true servant. Your cooking was always the best and I had the best times listening to your stories. You were one of a kind and this world needs more love like yours. Kind hearted, compassionate and a helping hand. There’s not a single person in our family that you didn’t  help in some way. You will always be remembered and cherished in our family! I love you always and until we meet again!

My brother was the most loving and generous man to us all. He never wanted anyone to go without. He was so talented and had a brilliant mind. He loved to go boating together. He also played the piano, beautifully. Every year we prepared special Christmas music for our family. He was golden! His favorite musical piece was We shall behold Him. He is there now. Praise the Lord! His sister, Jenni Harvey 

Bill would always remember our fishing trip to the west end of Dauphin Island and across the gulf to Dixie Bar, with a tropical storm in the gulf!!!  We had to jump from wave to wave just to keep the boat from being inundated.   The Bay had been so calm. Yes - God was with us through that storm and we lived to tell about it.  One of those memories that stays with you.


Since graduating high school, uncle Bill has always pushed me to pursue my dreams in music. In 2016, he helped me learn “We Three Kings” on piano to play for our family Christmas. I would go to his place for piano lessons after class and as soon as I arrived he would serve me a full 5 course meal. He never let me go hungry. Following dinner, I practiced piano for an hour or so. Eventually he would take over and play the piano like an angel from heaven.  Knowing my passion to write music, he bought me a drum pad and a mic to work on my other instruments and record my own songs. That was very important to me and he knew that and did everything he could to get me going, and even built a music website for me. Even after I moved away to college, he attended my marching band show 3 hours away. He was so uplifting towards me and I could tell he was one proud uncle! I am so blessed to have had him helping me along the way and cannot put into words how his love for me has paved the way to sharing my gifts and talents with others. I will miss him and our fun memories we had together.  They mean the world to me. I am forever thankful for him and his support in my life. 

Sweet Uncle Bill was so special to our family. My favorite memories with him revolve around the holidays and time spent together singing around the piano. He could play beautifully and loved to play worship songs for our family to sing along. 
Music bonded us in a special and heavenly way.  Some particular songs that stick out in my mind: (Rise Again, Do You Hear What I Hear?, We Are Standing on Holy Ground) He also had the most generous and kind heart. He loved his family like no one else and never missed a chance to spoil us all. He did such memorable things for each one of us. He gave me the the most beautiful amethyst ring when I graduated high school and cooked enough gumbo to feed an army at my bridal shower.  He also played the piano for us at our wedding and graciously worked to arrange and practice all my favorite songs for it. Of course he never missed a beat! Those acts of kindness will stick with me forever.  I pray his legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in each of our hearts and that we may love one another and care for one another as he has. I cannot wait to sing around the piano again one day with our Savior Jesus in our midst. 🙏🏻
