Mr. William Alton Todd, age 72, resident of Satsuma, AL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at a local hospice retreat with his beloved daughter by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard M. and Mattie Hurst Todd, brother, Leonard Emory Todd, sisters, Virginia Chadwell and Willie Joyce Todd.
Mr. Todd was a longtime employee in his family business, Pritchard Curb Market, built in 1969. He also worked for many years as a laborer with Southern Crane Company. He was a graduate of the Class of 1967 at Vigor High School. Enjoyed fishing on Dauphin Island, horseback riding, watching stock car races, and Alabama football. He also enjoyed spending time with his many friends at the Gulf Coast Opry, listening and dancing to country music. He enjoyed listening to southern gospel and blue grass music, picking his guitar and especially time spent with family and friends. He never met a stranger and always seemed to be the life of the party.
Mr. Todd is survived by his wife, Glenda Todd, children; Kenneth Daniel Todd (Jessica) of Birmingham, AL and Jennifer Todd Weaver (Gary) of Mobile and step-daughter Aimee McMillian (Joseph) also of Satsuma. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Madeline and Emily Todd, Kennedy, Kolton and Kaydence Weaver, brother, James Leonard Todd and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Oakleigh Chapel in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Saraland, AL.
