Celebration of Life services for Virginia “Sassy” Lucille Wiggins, 72, will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 5, 2018, in the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama, 36605, with Reverend John Edwards of Fulton Height Methodist Church, 1400 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama, 36605, officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama, 36605.
The family will be receiving guests in honor of “Sassy”, Friday, October 5, 2018, from the hour of 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
Virginia Lucille Wiggins was born March 11, 1946, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Jesse Blake and Virginia Lucille Richardson Mason, Sr. She was called from this earthly home on October 1, 2018, in Mobile, Alabama. “Sassy” graduated as an LPN and was well versed in hospitality through the hotel industry. She loved collecting Elvis figurines and simply enjoyed anything Elvis. “Sassy” had a love for her family that was above all else. She will be remembered by everyone who knew her as the kind of person that put others needs before her own.
“Sassy” was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Woody and Lucille Richardson, her paternal grandparents; Jesse Thomas and Inez Altonia Platt Mason and her parents.
Left to cherish the warm memories “Sassy” leaves behind are her husband, love of her life; Tony Eugene Wiggins, one son; Tommy Odom, one daughter; Theresa Porter, two brothers: Jesse Blake Mason, Jr. and wife Wanda, Ronald Mason and wife Lynn, two sisters: Annette Grube and husband Neal, Deborah Mason, along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.
Honoring “Sassy” as pallbearers will be Neal Grube, Jr., Bo Porter, Carl Ray Wiggins, Shannon Harris, Jesse Mason III and Ben Whittington. Honorary pallbearer will be Roland Porter, Sr.
The family would like to extend their warmest and sincerest heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Covenant Care for the wonderful care they provided “Sassy”. We cannot express our deepest thanks enough for the assistance through such a difficult time.
Memorials may be made to charity of donor’s choice in honor of Virginia Lucille Mason Wiggins.
