Virginia Lee Rice Ellington

She is survived by her daughter, Jolie Becker (Tim); granddaughter, Brittany Jones (Emory); grandson, Dalton Becker (Caroline); great grandson, Emory IV and her niece Molly Taylor (Mike).

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Gladys Rice; husband, Marshall Guy Ellington; son, Jody Lynn Ellington and sister, Clara "Maxine" Schwartz.

Jean was in the class of 52' at Murphy High School, she then worked at Creosote plant for three years and with the Corps of Engineers for thirteen years. She was a member of the 50+ club and Neptune’s Daughter Mardi Gras Society in Mobile. Jean also loved Ball Room Dancing and spending time at the "Boats”. She was always the life of the party but becoming a great grandmother to baby Emory was her greatest joy. She had the most loving and humble heart and will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605. Followed by an 11:00 AM graveside service at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605.
