Verna R. Weaver

Verna R. Weaver, age 94, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Verna was born February 13, 1927. She was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church for over 60 years. A strong, hardworking and independent woman. Verna was an avid bowler and loved to bowl at Skyline Lanes in Mobile. She enjoyed Alabama Football, Atlanta Braves Baseball and was a South Alabama Baseball fan who attended many games.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Columbus Bodiford and Hattie Mae (Brown)Bodiford. Husband Ivory W. Weaver. daughters; Patricia Ann (Weaver) Studener and Marsha Rae (Weaver) Gilmore, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her son Larry W. (Carla) Weaver, daughter Gail W. (Herbert) Andrews. Sister Ethel (Bill) Metzger, and devoted son-in-law Frederick J. Studener. Nine grandchildren and many loving great, great-great and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation for Verna will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama. A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Catholic Cemetery, 1700 Martin Luther King Blvd, Mobile, AL 36617. A burial will occur at Catholic Cemetery Mobile, Alabama.
