Thomas Gerald Franklin

Thomas Gerald Franklin, Sr., of Mobile, AL, entered into rest Monday, February 15, 2016 at a local hospital. He was 82. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Church of Mobile. Interment will follow at Pine Crest West Cemetery. Rev. Billy Duke will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Franklin was a member and Elder of Covenant Church of Mobile and a veteran of the United States Army. He also started Franklin Automotive in 1962 and was active in the business until a week before his passing.

Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Franklin, three children, Teresa (Jim) Wiggins of Mobile, Thomas Gerald Franklin, Jr. (Beth Ann Fennelly) of Oxford, MS, and Jeffrey Bradford (Cheri Collins) Franklin of Mobile, two sisters, Doris Putnam of Lauderdale, MS and Katherine Whitehead of Apalachicola, FL, and eleven wonderful grandchildren.
