Theresa Olivette Bosarge

Theresa Olivette Bosarge, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Mobile, Alabama. Olivette was born to John and Mary Dismuke on March 31, 1929 on Dauphin Island, and spent her entire life in Bayou La Batre. She was one daughter out of five sons. Olivette married Harold Bosarge in 1952, and together they raised three children. Olivette was a teacher at St. Margaret’s Catholic School for many years, where she was also a member for several years. She was known for her famous fudge. Olivette was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bosarge; five brothers; and one daughter-in-law, Essie Bosarge.

Olivette leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Mary (Louis) Simmons; two sons, Philip Bosarge and Jonathan (Lydia) Bosarge; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; as well has numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
