Terry Michael McKee

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Michael McKee. Mike was born on October 28,1947, in Montgomery, AL and after an extended battle with Parkinson's disease, we lost him on March 23, 2025, in Mobile, AL. He is survived by Louis Courie, his loving partner of over fifty years; his brother, Ricki McKee (Sheri) and their children, Scott McKee (Brittany) and Leslie Bowers (Drew); and his sisters, Misti Whaley (Tony) and Brigette McKee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Kelli McKee.

He led an artistic life including teaching speech and theatre at the University of South Alabama, LeFlore Magnet High School, and Davidson High, among others.

He was a singer, dancer, choreographer and director in multiple theatres for over thirty years including the Bethel Theatre at the University of South Alabama and Mobile Theatre Guild. While at M.T.G., he was an award winning director representing the U.S. by competing at the international level in both Ireland and Monaco.

He was a confirmed cat lover. He enjoyed theatre, music, film, reading, travel and approached life with a great sense of humor.

He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by family and friends.
