Stan was a 1986 graduate of Mobile Christian School. He fell in love with music and radio at an early age. He began working as an evening disc jockey for various local radio stations until beginning his 31 year career at the Cintas Corporation. Through these avenues, he made many friendships that were a treasure to him.
He loved music, football, comedy, corvettes, traveling, the mountains, talk radio and evening desserts. But more than anything he loved being a husband, father, grandfather and friend. His love for his family was unwavering and was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Holley Gordon; daughter, Amanda Gordon Averett (Jonathan); daughter, Samantha Dixon; son, Hunter Dixon; grandchildren, Blakely, Levi, Emmy, Walker and Parker; his mother, Sherry Meadows Denmark; grandmother, Etta Mae Meadows; brother, Robbie Carrigan (Matt); Aunt Donna Johnston (Benny); and in-laws, Chris Black and Alex and Karen Sedlecky.
