She was born to Connie Gray Oliver and Ella Mae Green Oliver on November 9, 1948, and was the youngest of seven siblings, three brothers, and four sisters. When her parents passed away, Ann was cared for by her late brother-in-law, Dan Ledbetter, and her sister, Ida Ledbetter. Ann attended Mary G. Montgomery High School where she met the love of her life, Olen Terry Tanner, whom she married on February 3, 1967.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two of her sisters, Eloise Isler and Bessie Agee. She is survived by her husband, Terry Tanner, her four children, Tammy Steffen (David), Wayne Tanner (Sheila), Scott Tanner, and Deidra Gibbs (Jeremy), as well as her nine grandchildren, Devin, Ashton, Trevor, Leland, Caden, Jacob, Leila, Dalton, and Ruthie.
Family was always so important to her. Ann’s favorite role was being “Nana” and spoiling her grandchildren anytime she could. She was a sweet and Godly woman who enjoyed helping others, cooking, shopping, and traveling. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and forever in our hearts.
