She was a 1971 graduate of Murphy High School. She attended Stillman College, and later received her Cosmetology license from Bishop State Community College.
She was a faithful member of the Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Mobile, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Exie Mae Austin; her brother, Lamont Henderson, and sister, Lillian McCrary.
Sharon was a U.S. Navy spouse for more than 25 years. She was a Special Education teacher at MARC for many years, before retirement.
She leaves to cherish, one daughter, Darcy (Joseph) Carroll, of Mobile, AL.; two sons: Broderick (Kathy) King, of Pace, FL., Damen (Brittany) King, of Lakeland, FL. Seven grandchildren: Isaiah Brown, Joseph Christian Carroll, Faith Monroe King, Rashad King, Elijah King, Emanuel King, Kaliel King. A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
