Russell Sparks Greene

Russell Sparks Greene – a 92 year-old resident of Mobile passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013. Mr. Greene retired from Alabama Power Company after many years of service and was a member of the Alabama Power Energizers. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy and was a longtime active member of First Baptist Tillman’s Corner where he served as a deacon.

Mr. Greene was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Eunice Greene. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dorothy “Dot” Harrison Greene; children, O.G. Greene (Diane) and Barbara Armstrong; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Tillman’s Corner on Monday, July 15, 2013, at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Tillman’s Corner Building Fund, 5660 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL 36619.
