Ruby Thompson Pierce - a native of Florence, AL and a resident of Chickasaw, AL for over 60 years died Sunday, February 6, 2011 in a local hospital. Mrs. Pierce was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Chickasaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Pierce; and two children, Ronnie L. Pierce and Mary Satina Pierce Smith. She is survived by three granddaughters, Satrina Smith, Ashley Pierce (John) Rampulla, and Rhonda Pierce (Jamie) Kelly; five great-grandchildren, Madison Kelley, Olivia Kelly, Mallorie Kelly, Elliot Rampulla, and Pierce Rampulla; one sister, Dean Booker; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. from St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Chickasaw, AL. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
