Robert Henry “Bob” Dunn, Jr. – age 51, born May 31, 1960, in Fort Benning, Georgia and a resident of Mobile passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012. He was Vice President/ General Manager of WPMI Local 15 and was an alumnus of the University of Alabama Class of 1984. Bob lived his life to the fullest, enjoying many hobbies and interests he had from outdoor sports to home improvement projects that he expertly mastered. He was an avid golfer and loved his Crimson Tide. Bob took such great satisfaction in sharing his interests with his son Bobby and daughter Kelly making him the ultimate “Dad” in preparing them for life ahead. The friendships that he developed and held dearly through the years gave great fulfillment and purpose to his life. Bob is mostly remembered for being the man who would do anything to help family, friends and co-workers in a time of need. His thundering personality, yet kind heart, will truly be missed and always remembered. Throughout Bob’s professional career he left the trademarks of excellence and pride in accomplishments, yet he was most proud knowing that in some small way his enthusiasm was contagious and truly helped his organization succeed. He held his television industry family in the highest regard and cared deeply for everyone he had the pleasure and honor to associate with. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Nancy Broadus Dunn; children, Robert H. Dunn, III and Kelly Anne Dunn; parents, Robert H. Dunn and Audrey Dunn; sisters, Audrey Ann Geoffroy (Dan) and Charlene Wilhelm (Don); nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 10, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
