Robert Lincoln Brier, M.D. – an 86 year-old native of Jamestown, Tennessee and longtime resident of Mobile passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011, after a battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Dr. Brier received his M.D. at the University of Tennessee and specialized in dermatology at Wayne State University. He practiced medicine in Mobile for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Public Health Service. He was a charter member of Azalea Hills Christian Church where he also served as an elder. Dr. Brier was a Master Gardener, enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clay Brier, Sr. and Minnie Grissom Brier, and brother, Dr. Henry Clay Brier, Jr. Dr. Brier is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Ruth Bell Brier; children, Lincoln Brier (Maria), Judith Brier, and Robette Beard (Jamie); brother, Daniel Brier; grandchildren, Hunter and Lauren; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Azalea Hills Christian Church on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Friday, October 21, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
