Bob was married to his soulmate, Katherine Armbrecht Zarzour, for 40 years and together they had seven children and three grandchildren. Bob was blessed in many ways, but his greatest joy was his family.
He was an all-academic athlete at the University of Florida, recipient of the bronze star while serving as a First Lieutenant in the 101st airborne in Vietnam, and for over 40 years practiced orthopaedic surgery at Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic.
Known by his contagious humor, wit, wisdom, and passion for learning, "Dr. Z" was an ambassador of God's grace in all that he did. As a dedicated father, loving husband, and heartfelt physician, he will be missed by so many.
Bob is survived by his wife, Katherine Zarzour; sons, Taylor Zarzour and daughter-in-law Betsy, of Charlotte, NC; Grant Zarzour, and daughter-in-law, Breanne, of Mobile, AL; Matt Zarzour, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, of Mobile, AL; Gaines Zarzour, and fiancée, Anna, of Mobile, AL; Ryan Zarzour of Atlanta, GA; and his daughter, Mary Katherine Zarzour of New York, NY. He is also survived by his sister, Pam, and husband, Ted, of Ocala, FL. Zeke was beloved to his grandchildren, Katie, Grace, and Wyatt Zarzour.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rita Zarzour; his daughter, Katie Zarzour; and his brother, Thomas Zarzour.
The family would like to thank all of those who cared so lovingly for him throughout his life.
